Hoda's Story

In the early 70's, Hoda established her bearings at the famous school of Singer in Beirut, Lebanon. Hoda learned the meticulous art of sewing and performing complex alterations and received her sewing certificate. This single piece of paper was tucked away and not thought of for years to come. Over the next two decades Hoda raised three children and custom made a number of their clothes. Her husband, a pharmacist by trade was the breadwinner. She always had the passion for sewing but didn't pursue it as she was solely focused on raising her children during those volatile years of the Lebanese Civil war. After immigrating to the United States in the late 80's, Hoda found herself in the position to find employment. With little English worked at a dry cleaners for the next six years. By this time, she was determined to create a name for her self. In 1992, Hoda's Tailoring opened in Fredericksburg, VA, and the rest is history.
